Our story
Born from a baby boom and one stubborn question.
“Why is it so hard to find lovely, sustainable clothes that aren't covered in dinosaurs or Disney prints?” That question, asked over and over by our family and friends, became Little Novice.

How we got here
A short, slow story.
Sept 2023
A baby boom, and a question
Half our group chat turned into a parenting one overnight. The same question kept popping up - why is everything covered in dinosaurs and Disney prints?
Winter 2023
Late-night sketches
Kitchen table, cold coffee, a stack of fabric swatches. We started drawing the kind of pieces we actually wanted to dress our nieces and nephews in.
2024
Our first cotton run
We found suppliers who care about the environment. Small batches of natural cotton - soft enough for newborn skin.
Today
Designed in London. Shipped from the UK.
Every piece is designed on our table in London. We source cotton from trusted partners abroad and ship every order straight from the UK.
What we believe
Four quiet rules we never bend.
Natural, always
Natural cotton, grown without the nasties. Better for skin, better for soil.
Quietly designed
No cartoons, no slogans. Just colours and shapes that work with the rest of the wardrobe.
Made to be handed down
We make in small runs and stitch things to outlast one child - sometimes two or three.
London at heart
Designed in London, shipped from the UK. Faster delivery, fewer miles, a supply chain we stand behind.

"We wanted clothes that whisper, not shout - the kind of pieces a child can grow up in, and a parent can pass on."

A quiet promise
Small runs. Real fibres. Made to last.
We will never make something for the sake of making it. If we don't think you'll keep a piece for years - and pass it on - we won't put it on the site.

What we make
Clothes that grow softer.
Natural cotton bodysuits, rompers, and everyday essentials. Pieces designed to be lived in - first by one child, then another. We choose only the kind of natural fibres that get softer the longer you keep them.
We don't drop new collections every week. We make in small runs, sometimes sell out, and re-make the pieces you love.
